Pain in Head @ Back Right Side

Hi, I have been experiencing a dull pain in the right side of my head, near the back around the ear or base of skull. These are generally quick pains, like someone is pulling my hair, but can last for an hour or so. Seem to happen at least once a day, sometimes more. I haven't noticed any triggers, it just happened a few minutes ago when I got up to go to the restroom, and was gone as quick as it came.

Possible useful information: I suffer from very bad vision, wear contacts and have had some extensive corneal scarring in the Left eye. Also had corrective surgery 15 years ago for a Left eye Lazy eye.  I have no curvature of the C-Spine so I have upper back/shoulder aches, sometimes throbbing. Am currently 35, average weight, smoker but generally healthy.

I am just concerned as this is happening fairly regularly, should I be concerned w/ growths, tumors, etc. or is this a common issue. Thanks for any help/insight that you all can give!

The headaches are related to optic nerve most probably . Please consult an ophthalmologist to get the right eye check up and investigations for the headache .Hope this helps you . Take care and  regards !
