Hi,
It is good that the CT scan was normal. However, I also recommend that you proceed with the blood tests to rule out hormonal or thyroid causes. Take care and hope to hear from you soon.
“I’ve had migraine headaches since I was in elementary school. I was going to the doctor four, sometimes five times a month and having to get shots to get rid of these headaches because Ibuprofen, Darvocet, nothing worked to get rid of them. Dr. Cartwright put me on NeuroBoost and when I saw what was in it I thought, well, this won’t work at all, but it couldn’t hurt, so I’ll take them…I haven’t had a headache at all this month.”

Please see my original reply to your original post on this thread- just a CT scan is not enough in my mind to relegate it to simply tension headaches with your symptoms. I think you need some other tests as well.
The CT scan was normal. I was told just that. So it's good news but really does that mean its tenison headaches?
Hello,
With hay fever, the best treatment is to avoid what causes your allergic symptoms. Over-the-counter antihistamine, nasal corticosteroid sprays and decongestants may help provide relief. Drink plenty of fluids and stay indoors. Take care always.
I am doing fine. I am not having headaches right now, thank god. Instead I've got hay fever! Its taking my mind off the wait.
Hi,
How are you? The part of waiting is usually the hardest part. But try to relax and busy yourself. Hang on and take care. Do keep us posted.
Yeah I guess your right. They also told the same things to other people who had the test. I will keep on waiting for next Monday and give my doctor a call.
I guess maybe them telling you to call your doctor a week from today might be a good sign, otherwise, they might would have told you to expect your doctor's office to be giving you a call!
The scan went ok. I wasnt told anything but must call my doctor next Monday. I knew they wouldnt tell me if anything was found. No news is good news.
Hi,
Your sore neck and shoulders happened without trigger or cause? If these did not responds to pain medications or muscle relaxants, you may need to take prescription medications. Good luck on your scan. All the best and hope to hear from you soon!
I am still waiting for the scan which is tomorrow afternoon. I had a week of no pains in head, til Friday when they came back. Its on the right side of my head, over the eye. Its a sharp pain. I had a very sore neck over the last 2 days and now the pain is back. I also got a sore shoulders. I hope the scan can clear anything up
Hi,
How are you feeling now? Aside from the CT scan, I would also recommend that you have the blood tests done to rule out any hormonal or thyroid problem. Good luck on your scan on the 17th. Take care always and do keep us posted.
Please let me know what you find out from your doctor! And I hope if the CAT scan comes back okay, they don't stop looking for an answer!
I dont think I was given a field of vison test. When I had my eye test, they found out I was sightly long sighted and was given glasses. I use them to read and use the internet.
Hi,
How are you? Tension-type headaches may present with dull, non-throbbing pain, frequently bilateral headache associated with tightness of scalp or neck. The degree of severity remains constant and may be attributed to emotional stress and sometimes hidden depression. Rest, ice packs, and analgesics may help. Try to avoid stress and I recommend that you have blood tests done to rule out thyroid issues. Thyroid problems present with tremors, increased heart rate, irregular periods and temperature sensitivity. Take care and do keep us posted. Warm regards.
Have you ever had a field of vision test run?
Thanks for your post. I also suffer from being hot one minute and cold the next, its comes and goes. I do find my heart racing now and again, but I am trying to relax and not let it worry me. I am slightly long sighted and wears glasses but the doctor thinks its got nothing to do with the headaches
It's hard to know, but good that your doctor wants to do a brain scan (though MRI would be better as far as radiation goes). Because you get shaky with your headache, I would also wonder if you might be suffering from hypoglycemia episodes. I would also wonder if your thyroid were in hyperdrive. I would wonder if your blood pressure is spiking with these episodes and if so, if they have run a fasting plasma free metanephrines test on you to rule out pheochromocytoma. I would wonder if your pulse is racing during these attacks. A relative of mine got headache pains and kept being told sinus infection and taking antibiotics which seemed to help. Then an ear, nose and throat specialist suggested it might not be infection at all, but stress that was causing his headaches. It's good to have a thorough medical evaluation to rule out things and if you're left with- you are too stressed and you need to improve your posture- things like that, then hopefully you can work out a plan to deal with that.
