Pain in the back of my head

Not sure if this is considered a headache or not. But about 4-7 times a day when I turn my head I am unable to unless I push my self to. And when I do I have a sharp pain at the back of my head. It feels as if something gets released and a warm feeling around that spot happens. There is no pain in my neck though, just in that one spot of my head. It is making me nervous because this use to happen about once every other month or so. Now it is happening every day for the past 6-7 months. Each one is getting more intense then the other.

hi,please take the opinion of neurologist as it can be simple muscle spasm or spondylosis.Try pain killers(ibuprofen, diclofenac etc) along with muscle relaxants.

Sounds like a pinched nerve, I have had one before that was caused by muscle spasms. If you use a computer alot, make sure your screen is level with your eyes and that your arms form an "L" when typing. I ended up in physical/massage therapy to relieve it.

Also, have you had any dental work done? I did a few months ago and ever since I have had numerous neuro/muscle issues which I am finally getting take care of slowly that has caused similar issues. That could be a cause as well.

Definitely follow up with a neuro to get a consult at least.
