Persistent Numbness from Migranes(migraines)? Anyone heard of this?

I've had a constant paresthesia (tingling/numbness) of the left side of my face since March.  Since March, this has expanded to include the back left side of my head, and recently has been intermittently affecting my arms, legs and left mid back (mainly the left arm which is nearing a constant state like my face).  My neurologist is convinced this is due to Migraine but I haven't been able to find anything about Migraines causing this other than briefly with aura up to a max of 1 week.  This problem seems to be consistent and slowly worsening.

A little history on me: I've had debilitating migranes (migraines) w/o aura since late teens but have not had a debilitating headache in about 3-4 years.  Previously I had frequent horrible headaches, up to 6-7 a month.

Has anyone had a similar experience or know where I can find out more about sensory disturbances caused by Migraine?  Thanks.

I also get debilitating migraines and about 2 years ago, I started experiencing numbing on the right side of my face/neck/shoulder. I went to the ER and they ran many tests and finally wanted to do a spinal tap, which I declined. The dr. on duty suggested that the numbing will be a normal symptom from now on of my migraines.

Over the years, I have been experiencing facial numbing which has since gone away, since I had a pituitary tumor removed in April. They found the tumor during an MRI with contrast. I'm not suggesting you have a tumor, it's just something to keep in mind.

Have you had an MRI or CAT Scan? It is your right (if you have insurance) to have these tests done. I would highly recommend an MRI or CAT Scan and ask them to use contrast dye (if you can withstand the dye).
