Hi,
How are you? Are there other symptoms present? The pain can be referred to other locations especially if the nerve innervates other muscles in the neck and head. If it persists, you may benefit from further evaluation by your doctor. Warm compress, pain relievers and muscle relaxants may also help provide relief. Take care and regards.
