Pregnant and scared

by scaredstiff1, Sep 06, 2007 02:11PM
OK, Im 30 years ols and 16 weeks pregnant, Ive had a lightheadness issue for a few months (before pregnancy) and on monday night about 9:30 a migraine started. Ive had migraines since I was 7 but none of them ever lasted 3 days. We went to the ER and they gave me a shot of demerol to which the pain came back 5 minutes later, then they perscribed Vicodine which I didnt take until I went to see my OB the next day. Finally after taking the vicodine which didnt work I took the butabitol (which my ob perscribed) and it went away about 8:30 last night. During this migraine a few things happened that never happened before. 1. it lasted 3 days, 2. it was over my left eye by the eye brow and my right temple area was sore to touch, 3. my neck is semi sore and 4. I felt pain in my ears???? Now I have a leftover dull ache (nothing I need meds for), but my ears are clogged and Im a bit disoriented (lightheaded). I am scared to death I have a brain aneurysm!!! The ER made me follow a light and his finger w/ my eyes and moved my head around in a circle, and when I went to the OB yesterday my BP was ok... Please tell me this does not sound like an aneurysm, Im very very scared!!!!!

Hi,
Is this your first pregnancy? You should consult your obstetrician and discuss your problems in detail. Almost all of your symptoms could be caused due to pregnancy. Relax, maintain a healthy diet pla. Adequate sleep and hydration are important. Try some exercises under supervision regularly. Taking too many medicines and panicking is not advisable. Goodluck.
