Pressure on left eyebrow

Pressure on left eyebrow

I love snorkling and have been doing this sport for many years during summer.  I can go down between 5 and 10 metres adjusting pressure by blowing through my nose and ears. Two weeks I went snorkling I felt an intense pressure on my left eyebrow and since I had a cold the week before, I put it down to that and stopped. This week I went snorkling the first few dives were ok but then I started feeling the pressure again and I backed off. Usually I excrete some mucus after swimming, but this time the mucus from my nose was very thick and yellowish and it even had some blood around it. I don't feel any pressure now only when I snorkelled. Before I started snorkling this summer, I have experienced a nosebleed which occurs once every month or so. My Doctor said it could be a small vein. I am worried especially because Iwould like to snorkel again without the pressure.

Hi,
How are you? Indeed, there are many small capillaries and veins in the nose that could lead to nose bleeding. The pressure in your eyebrow could also be due to sinus issues. Facial pain or pressure may be caused by sinus infection. Over-the-counter decongestants and even antibiotics are often indicated. It is best that you have this checked by an ENT doctor for proper management. Take care and do keep us posted.
