Pulsating Temples and Back of Head

I just recently started to feel my temple region on the right side of my head start to pulsate, and a very tight feeling or pressure just beneath my eye and all over the right side of my head above and behind my right ear. I've been reading some previous posts and they said this could be stress. My question is how can you tell the difference if it is just simply stress or something more serious? What are the signs, or symptoms of a more serious problem of pulsating veins, and a tight pressure around the face and back of head region?
