Recurring headaches with pressure by right eye

Recurring headaches with pressure by right eye

Hi,  I am a 36 yr old female with two children ages 9 and 5.  I have experienced headaches all my life.  I have a thryoid disorder, allergies to dust and mold, deviated septum, constant pressure directly by my right eye (does not ever go away), constant stiffness on the right side of my neck down my shoulder, and suffer from depression (have been taking Lexapro for 4 years).  I have occassional ringing in my right ear, feel pressure (do not have ear infection or sinus infection), lots of popping (current popping feels like fireworks), and currently experiencing weird sensation in the right ear when I lay down.  The headaches can be dull to a severe piercing.  They usually don't move around my head but stay focused on the right side.  The current headache (severity changes hourly) has lasted 7 days and this is not unusual.  The headaches can put me out of commission for a day.  I try not to let them keep me out longer than that.  Tylenol, and Advil (OTC) medicines can sometimes take the edge off (not always).  I also take Midrin but that seems to be less effective the more often the headaches occur.  I have also tried muscle relaxers (primarily for the stiffness on the right side).  They provide some relief occasionally.  The headaches do seem to be occuring more frequently.  The frequency has me a little concerned.  I have an appointment scheduled with my GP next week.  But I am wondering if the headaches are just because of the deviated septum and stiff neck/shoulder.  If so I can get the deviated septum fixed and figure out something (although I have no idea what) about my stiff neck/sholder area.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I am really starting to get quite frustrated.

Hi,

How are you?
The stiff neck and shoulders can be due to bad posture and also due to anxiety and stress.
Yes DNS can cause severe headaches, these headaches occur due to nasal obstruction. These headaches are intense pressure headaches.
Neck exercises, alternate heat and cold therapy of the neck, good posture while sitting will help relieve the neck and shoulder stiffness.
Let me know if you need more information. Take care!
