Seizure-like Activity Plus Migraine

My wife is experiencing the following symptoms: uncontrolled body movements (seizing, ticking, contortion of face, arms, and torso), difficult speech (or unable to talk), migraine-like headaches following, and lack of balance. She has had an MRI, eeg monitoring, cat scans, and sees a neurologist for controlled epilepsy. These episodes came out of the blue 2 weeks ago and eased for a day or two, then came back full force. Any ideas?

All of these symptoms you mention can be caused by exposure to BUTYL which is way too strong in many cleaning products.  I'm sorry that with all the research on how harmful this component is, companies can hide the fact that it is in shower cleaner, carpet cleaners and many, many products.

It causes autoimmune issues and ANEMIA.  Because it causes so many different things at the same time, researchers, don't think anything is the matter with the red blood cells.  Seizures can also be caused from lack of oxygen.

I write web pages about the harm of this chemical and how to recognize it, however, I have been asked to not post them on the public forum.

Thanks for your reply... yes, the tests were all done after the attacks started.  She was just given a med for migraines from her Neurologist and she thinks she's having a reaction (swollen tongue).  How do you find a Neurologist who specializes in Migraines - her current one doesn't seem to be in tune with this side of the issue.  Thanks again...

Hi,

Thanks for writing in.

It is important to know as to when she underwent MRI, EEG and other tests, was it before or after the attacks.
If her epilepsy is under control, then other causes like Migraine have to be ruled out. Migraine can cause symptoms like difficulty in speech, loss of balance and headache.

Is she taking any treatment for migraine? This requires further evaluation by a neurologist.
