Severe headache, Midrin?

Severe headache, Midrin?

I went to the doctors the other day and was prescribed Zipsor and the generic version of midrin. They both really haven't done anything and the bottle for the Midrin says one every six hours as needed but I read somewhere that you are supposed to take more than one or can you take more than one if it isn't going away? My doctor said I had a Tension headache along with a sinus infection so I am on antibiotics as well. I am so desperate for my headache to go away, I am in so much pain. Please help, anything is appreciated.

Hi,
How are you? Do you still experience the headache? Midrin is used for abortive relief of migraine and tension headaches. Dosage is based on your medical condition and response to therapy. It can produce rebound headaches when used too frequently and has some sedative effects that is why it is recommended to take it as prescribed. For migraine headaches, do not take more than 5 capsules in a 12-hour period. Aside from medications, biofeedback therapy and other relaxation techniques may also help. Take care and do keep us posted.
