Severe headache

I am having seve headache in the middle of my head almost  everydayafter  I return from work. Its almost pulsating and analgesics do not help unlesss I have has 2-3 tablets. I am a patient of migrain also but this is different.If I continue talking or working in same condition then my head feels incredibly heavy. Please suggest what is it.

For how long have you been diagnosed with a migraine headache?

Have you been taking pain medications since? If yes, for how long?

Differentials for your case will be a transformed migraine due to medication overuse.This may be likely if you have been taking medications for greater than 15 days in a month for 3 months. A migraine headache without aura and tension headaches are also differentials .

Tension headaches are usually bilateral and nonpulsatile and may also be associated with painful shoulder and neck muscles.

I suggest you seek consult with a physician so that your headaches may be reclassified.Discuss with your neurologist the advantages of preventive therapy for migraine headaches if indicated.
