Does a neurosurgeon have to work with a endoc in regard to pituitary macroadenoma?  Tks.
Avatar_dr_f_tn
Hi,
How are you? Co-management or referral to endocrinologist may be done by the neurosurgeon in cases of pituitary macroadenoma.  The pituitary  gland helps control the release of hormones from other endocrine glands in the body. Referral will also depend on  the medical history, type of the tumor and symptoms present. Take care and do keep us posted.
