Skull Fracture Surgery..Noises

I had head surgery in March 2010, I been hearing little pops where the surgery was done. I used to hear creaking noises in the same spot along with my popping noises. I went to the Docs & they said they never heard of that happening.. My incident was a blood clot behind my ear, I fell off a fence.. I was 17 when it happened, I am 18 now. & still hearing the popping sounds, it started again after a couple months..Any idea why i'm hearing this? Please respond, Thanks. (No Headaches)

How are you? Are there other symptoms present? Tinnitus or the perception of sound within the human ear in the absence of corresponding external sound may be associated with subjective and objective causes. Muscle spasms that cause clicks or crackling around the middle ear, altered blood flow or increased blood turbulence near the ear, ear conditions such as infection, and even side effect of medications. If it persists, it is best that you have this checked by your doctor for proper evaluation. Direct clinical examination is important. Take care and do keep us posted.

I'm fine other than the popping noises. I don't take meds, yes the blood clot was behind my ear on my left side along with the skull fracture, I don't think it's an infection..I think it could be just healing still. Or the blood flow. I don't listen to headphones either, I do like sleeping on the left side also. Thank you for responding to my Question.

Thanks for the updates. Masking the tinnitus at night by music or ticking of the clock may help in some cases. However, the outcome really depends on the  type and severity of the cause. Check with your doctor or be referred to an ear specialist for proper evaluation. Take care and best regards.
