Hi,
How are you? Are there other symptoms present? Do you still experience the random sharp headaches? This may be due to ice pick headaches which are short, stabbing, extremely intense headaches that can be absolutely terrifying. They generally only last between five and 30 seconds. The pain can also seem to occur in or behind the ear. If it persists, have this checked by your doctor for proper evaluation. your medical history and direct clinical examination are important.Take care and do keep us posted.
To me, these sounded rather like my ice pick headaches at first. I'm rather confused by the muscle cramping sensation, however. Does massaging the spot where it hurts help or make the pain worse? If a massage helps, it could be that you're getting a variety of muscle tension headaches.
Either way, if these continue much longer, I'd go with Selma's suggestion of the journal, and then take it in to see your doc, just to make sure that you're not missing something important.
Good luck and keep us posted,
~Dame
