Sudden onset localised headache always same spot

I hav'nt used headache pills for years. Suddenly 3 months ago I started getting localised headaches on the left rear quadrant of my head.  These headaches are always on exactly the same spot, vary in intensity and are intermittently throbbing, in nature.  They can occur from when I wake up in the morning and then intensify during the course of the day. Occasionally I get a day's reprieve, but then they re-appear.

Over the last 3 days I have experienced mild nausea, but this has all but dissapeared today (unusual for me).

I suffer from high blood pressure and although I have been before, I am not currently on any medication.

I am 50 years old, 86 Kg, relatively fit, pass for younger.

Is it time for an MRI?
