Tenderness/pain

I have a constant dull sorness all over my head.  It is tender to the touch so much so, it hurts even lying on a pillow!  The sorness/pain is always there and will instantly turn into a massive headache if anything taps or bumps my head.

I am also experiencing a sore head, it runs from the base of my skull to the top of my head and throbs, it is very sore to the touch, I have been having to lay on my side to sleep. I am also having symptoms of vertigo. I have been diagnosed with migraines in the past but this is a new symptom, any ideas as to what it could be, I have never heard of anyones actual head being sore to the touch.

I have been having the same problem for three days now. I have shooting pains in my head about twice an hour, but my scalp is painful to touch. It even hurts to brush my hair! I have also been diagnosed with migraines but this is new. I don't know what it is, but its a relief to know that I'm not the only one with this issue!

Have you tried any medications for the pain?

Migraines may present with hypersensitivity to otherwise normal stimuli ( allodynia). Almost 40% of migraineurs may present with this.Some literature says that this happens due to hypersensitivity of the trigeminal nerve during migraine onset.

Seek consult with your neurologist or pain specialist. Episodic migraines may transform into chronic daily headaches that may need to be reclassifed.
