Throbbing/wave of head pain left side

by englishchap, Oct 29, 2009 04:15AM
I have started to get a frequent feeling in the left middle side of my head.  It started about two weeks ago and was just once, then it happened a couple of days later, and more recently is happening once daily.  The feeling can only be described as a throbbing pain that lasts no more than 30 seconds.  It feels like someone is inflating a balloon in my head and then it deflates just as quickly as it has blown up.  When it occurs I am not doing anything particularly stressful.  Has anyone ever had similar or would suggest possible causes for this?
