Tingling

I am a 16 year old male, who suffers from migraines and headaches . Recently I have had a tingling sensation in the right side of my head, it does not last long, however i find it concerning and would like an opinion on what it could be .

How are you? Are there other symptoms present? Migraine headaches usually associated present with throbbing and even tingling sensation, nausea, vomiting and sensitivity to light and sound. Try to observe the triggers or activities that bring about this symptom and avoid them. There is a headache tracker here in the forum that may help. If it persists, check with your doctor or be referred to a neurologist for proper evaluation. Take care and do keep us posted.

Thanks for your reply, it was helpful . I seen my doctor and she said it could the rotation of a nerve or shingles . It has since became much less frequent and less intense, so I believe it wasn't anything serious . I believe my migraine triggers are light so thanks for that too .

Thanks for the update. It is good to know that the headaches are less frequent and less intense. With shingles, post herpetic neuralgia or prolonged nerve pain can be experienced. While rotated or pinched nerves usually resolves after a few days. Aside from medications, drinking plenty of fluids, eating healthy foods and exercising regularly also helps. Take care always.
