Topomax

Hi.  I've suffered from migraines for about 15 years.  Just last week had an MRI that showed 10 brain lesions and am seeing a neuroligist next week.  I've tried all the migraine medicines out there, and now take Indrenal on a daily basis.  Topomax (topamax) is probably the nex step.  Can I get some honest opinions about the side effects of this medicine?  Thanks.

I'm on Topamax. i've been on it since May of this year. it seems to help some. i was having migraines everyday. most of them were severe, and would last for days. Now i can have about maybe 4 severe headaches a month. i dont seem to have the migraines as frequently as i was having them, but i also have imitrex for those days that i cant shake them. the side effects, i have had tingling in my hands and feet, upset stomach, to the point that i couldnt hardly eat much for weeks. on the bright side, i've lost like 30 pounds in 3 months. i'm on a 100 mg a day. in november, i'm going up to 125 to see if moving up the dosage will help since i'm still having headaches.
