Treatments for Headaches

I have been having headaches for over three months straight now and I was wondering if there was anything I can do to alleviate the headaches. I have gone to neurologist and have been tested for brain scan and eeg and blood tests and hypothyroid and nothing was found. They only found that my calcium is high, which can cause the kidney stones I have been having. Vitamin D was high and B-12 was low but other then that the doctors don't have a reason why I have these head aches. They say it might be do to stress which might be true but to ave them everyday and says when i feel stressed free then doesn't make sense. Any information tha might help would be might appreciated. Thanks
Yehuda

If your Calcium is High try Magnesium supplements.
Over the counter at local drug store, very good for migraines.

This pranayam(breathing exercises) will solve your stress and sleeping problem first, and then the headache.Start today, and you will feel the difference in days.Drink warm water. It is all natural and you are helping the body to build up the immune system. Please report your progress, so others may benefit.
Build up your timing gradually. If you feel tired or dizzy, stop and resume after 1 minute.
Kapalbhati -(Do it before eating) Push air forcefully out through the nose about once per second. Stomach will itself go in(contract in). The breathing in(through the nose) will happen automatically. Establish a rhythm and do for upto 15 minutes twice a day.(Max 60 min/day) Not for pregnant women. Seriously ill people do it gently.

Anulom Vilom -  Close your right nostril with thumb and deep breath-in through left nostril
then – close left nostril with two fingers and breath-out through right nostril
then -keeping the left nostril closed  deep breath-in through right nostril
then - close your right nostril with thumb and breath-out through left nostril.
This is one cycle of anulom vilom.
Repeat this cycle for 20 to 30  minutes twice a day(maximum 60 minutes in one day).
You can do this before breakfast/lunch/dinner or before bedtime or in bed.Remember to take deep breaths into the lungs.

Bhramri Pranayam -Close eyes. Close ears with thumb, index finger on forehead, and rest three fingers on base of nose touching eyes. Breathe in through nose. And now breathe out through nose while humming like a bee.
Duration : 5 to 15 times

26 M, not sleeping well for a few years,
Headaches for more than 3 months
Migraines (So you have more than one type of headache?)

You have seen the neuro, and thank God, he has ruled out the serious issues. Now to find what is causing the pain, if that can be found, you may have to visit other specialists sharing the head and neck as well :-) Sadly so.

Eye, ENT and Dental; but see if you have any clues to these areas and decide. Rarely it can be caused by vertebral problems in the neck as well.

You haven't described the headache as yet. Is it one side or both, which side, continuous or intermittent, how long does each episode last, what brings it on, what relieves it...

On the contrary, your sleep pattern makes one think; whether it is the effect of headache? Or if it is the stressed up mind that produces the headache and doesn't allow you to sleep.

Take care,

Thomas Antony

You can be happy that your brain scan etc, has come normal.

Can you give more details about your headache?

For symptomatic relief you can take Paracetamol, Iboprofen etc; they may be available from any medical shop.

How is your sleep? What is your age?

Best,

TA
