What are jobs that are friendly for people with severe migraines?

I have been diagnosed with Migraines, and have recently lost a job due to them, and was supposed to start another job through a temp agency and haven't been able to because of them. I left the temp agency because all they are offering is factory jobs, which I can not work. I have found that besides being sensitive to light and sounds when they happen, the extreme heat onsets them. There have been occasions where I have been at a job and got a migraine and tried working through it, up until the point where I felt extremely nauseous and lost my balance/ability to walk straight (believe it would be vertigo), and sometimes have seizure like symptoms without having an actual seizure. I've tried working for Walmart with them and lost that because I couldn't get an intermittent leave granted and ended up pointing out. I desperately need to find a job within the next few weeks because I have to be moved out by next year, and am currently doing school online. I don't know if there is any Microsoft office jobs or jobs that I can do from home, as for some skills I have learned on my own, but don't have professional experience or a degree which seems to be making finding a job hard, and I'm only 20.

I'm sorry to hear that your headaches are so bad.  I'm a former migraine sufferer myself.  I say former as they are very rare now.  I went to a headache clinic to try to determine the triggers.  For me, it was food and food additives. Stress that leads to tension on a chronic neck injury from a car accident almost 20 years ago also can lead to a bad headache.  But the true triggers were mostly food related.  They can have all sorts of triggers.  Try to keep a log of what proceeds the to see if you can see any patter yourself.  I cut out the things that were associated to this food sensitivity that I had and honestly, I'm pretty much migraine free.  I had the kind you describe where I could feel it coming . . .  I'd get a weird feeling, then be sensitive to light and sound and then it would hit and I was on the floor.  I had medicine that I'd take and between that and the pain, once I took it, I'd be out for 12 hours asleep.  It was awful.  What kind of medicine do you take for the migraines since you were diagnosed?

When you don't know if/when a headache will hit, it is hard to have any type of schedule where you don't have flexibility.  So I'm not sure about what kind of job you can have.  Maybe one where you get a project and have to have it done by X but can work on it on your own schedule?  Or take some online classes to help get ready for a job as you sort out the headache issue?  good luck

I take Topamax or Topimate for my migraines, which doesn't cure them it just helps lessen them. When I feel one coming on since they have tried prescribing me a PRN med for them and it didn't work, I have taken the advil medicine for Migraines and have found that to help but after taking them I tend to fall asleep and when I wake up am fine. I am taking online college classes which helps but I can't find a job that I can have flexibility in. I have worked in the restaurant industry, factory work, and I've worked for Walmart and none of that has been able to accommodate me and I've either ended up having to quit or I got fired. I've tried applying to some transcription jobs and am waiting to hear back to see if that might be good work for me but I'm not real familiar or know much about what work has flexible shifts that would let you kind of work on your own time when you can. I feel that that would really help me out a lot. Due to the fact that I'm only 20 and can work as long as I have some compensation for the migraines because I don't think I can go on disability and don't want to go on disability at this age.
