What's wrong with me?

What's wrong with me?

I've been seeing phosphenes for 2 weeks, and have had a dull headache along with it.  The headache migrates to different parts of my head, and doesn't hurt that bad, but it won't go away; sometimes my head just tingles.  But I see the phosphenes most easily in the shower with a white background.  I have bad eye sight:  L -600 R -550.  I have worn contacts since late grade school.  I recently got a new pair; I believe I wore them in the wrong eye for about a week, they felt kinda funny, but I shrugged it off, until I was watching TV and I started seeing stars, then I took them out immediatley, and had only worn them for short periods of time, until the stars came back, now they won't go away and I haven't worn the contacts in over a week, and I don't intend on wearing them again; I am afraid to.  I eat well, I take vitamines, and I stay away from processed foods.  I get plenty of sleep, and drink plenty of fluids.

How long is this going to last?
Do I have a brain tumor?
Do I have high blood pressure?
Do I have diabetes?
Do I have migranes (migraines)?
What should I do?

Hi,
How are you? Migraines usually present with one-sided throbbing headache with associated nausea, vomiting, and sensitivity to light and sound. Diabetes, on the other hand, presents with frequent urination, frequent intake of fluids and frequent eating.  Diagnosis of diabetes is through blood tests such as fasting blood sugar. Sometimes, people with diabetes may present with high blood pressure. But you need to have your blood pressure checked to see if you have increased pressure, Brain tumors presents with progressive painful headache, projectile vomiting and even seizures. Check with your doctor for proper evaluation. Direct clinical examination and imaging studies will help rule out this condition. A referral to an ophthalmologist may also help. Take care and regards.

Oh yea, I forgot to mention, I already saw an Opthalmologist, and he didn't find anything wrong with my eyes.

Hi,
It is good that you were able to see your eye doctor and evaluation was normal. This rules out eye issues and this could be caused by primary headaches such as migraine or tension headache also especially if you have stress during this time. Rest, ice packs and pain relievers may help provide relief. Take care always.
