Whay should I do??????

Well, i actually joined this forum because my girlfriend gets sever migranes (migraines) and has had bad experiences with the side effects of medication(IMITREX). Her migranes (migraines) have gotten so bad at times that she has lost hearing and vision. I am really concerned because i'm not familiar with migranes (migraines) and the effects of one sounds a little too familiar to Tumors. I would really appreciate any positive advice possible.

Is she taking the medication?

I suggest that she informs her physician/prescriber regarding this. Do not stop or taper the medications until you have informed the physician about this. Were the symptoms present even prior to the intake of the medications?

I suggest that a cranial CT scan or MRI be done. An EEG may also be done do rule out an underlying seizure disorder.

Are her headaches always associated with the loss of hearing and vision? If these occur, do they last for more than an hour?

Any associated nausea and vomiting?
