am dizziness

I often wake up somewhat dizzy, it passes after a few minutes.  My blood pressure is normally fine (110/70  90/60) all labs normal. I do have a herniated disc at either C5 or 6. I take topomax 50 mg 2x daily and advair 250/50 2x
daily. The dizziness is more an annoyance than anything, I don't fall down or faint. It passes before I have time to
eat or drink anything. I asked in the back and neck pain forum and got no response after several days-any thoughts?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,
How are you? Do you feel dizzy when you stand u or while lying down? Postural or orthostatic hypotension occurs when you abruptly stand up from sitting or lying down. It is a form of low blood pressure  that can make you feel dizzy or lightheaded, and maybe even faint lasting for a few seconds to a few minutes. It can happen to anyone but is more common in older adults. However, long-lasting orthostatic hypotension can be a sign of more-serious problems. If it persists, you may need further evaluation done. Take care and do keep us posted.
