blackout spells

my sister in law is having blackout spells with head aches that feel like someone is hitting her head with something also she cant move or speak but she can hear everything that is going on around her and her muscles are sore and shallow breathing heart wanted to speed up then when her husband sat her up she had like a tightness in her chest with like a split second of a sharp pain and feeling dizzy afterwards throughout the next day nonstop trembling and shaking.

For how long has your sister experienced these symptoms?

I suggest that she seek  immediate consult with a physician.Was she brought to the ER during one of these episodes?

If yes,were any diagnostic tests done?

At this point, her symptoms are nonspecific.Blackout spells may be due to neurologic and cardiac problems. A complete medical history and physical examination are needed to assess her problem.A complete work up is needed. A cranial CT scan, an EEG, evaluation of neck vessels, evaluation of clotting factors, a2DEcho, an EKG , and thyroid hormone levels are needed.

A differential for this may be a seizure disorder.It is important that cardiac problems need be ruled out first.I understand your concern with regards to your sister in law's condition.It may be difficult to tell at this point what could really be causing this.The points I have mentioned above are simply possible differentials that may be looked into.
