can somebody help?

hello
i am so exited that i got the chance to ask a question! thank you!
a year and a half a go i underwent a craniotomy due to haemangioma-right frontal cavernous. when i came into hospital they discoverd that is was the second bleed. the brain surgery took place but i have now lived with headaches ever since.
nobody seems to be able to help me. i am also living with extrem fatigue and sore body all over. i have had a infection in my body for at least over 6 month and my GP has tried to find where the infection is coming from without success. he has eliminated all areas possible for infection without finding any. he put me onto a antibiotics called amoxycillin for 10 days to see if i got better which i did. to him that idnicateds that the infection is coming from my mouth possible from a root canal i had done.
i have been on deralin tablets which helped the headaches quite a bit.
the headaches i am having could that be connected to the craniotomy i had done or the infection in my body?
how do you find out about possible casues of infection?
My GP has send me to many test and scanes and everything comes back clear. The MRI for my head is fine as well. My GP has also send me to different speciallist but they can not help. i also am medicated for thyroid. i am taking thyroxine.
i am 32 years of age.
i hope i have given enough information for you to be able to let me know what i can do.
i am feeling so sick in my body and dont know how to keep going without answeres.
I wish and prey you can help me!
thank you for your time and efforts

Have you seen an ENT specialist?  I had a CT three years ago and was told all was clear ( after a root canal when the pain first started).  After increasing pain, fatigue and similiar symtoms to yours I had a brain MRI a month ago that led me to another CT.  They found a calcificed sphenoid sinus that the amoxicillian and other antibiotics could not resolve because the blood was not flowing through it. I had surgery last week.  It was many years in getting to this state so was missed on the first scan. Your symtoms sound so familiar that perhaps you should see an ENT specialist if you have not seen one lately. Good luck to you, and don't give up.

Hi,

You have mentioned flu like symptoms for over 6 months?

Is this present everyday or intermittently within the 6 month period?

Some allergic rhinitis symptoms which may be seasonal and associated with sinus congestion may  cause your  headaches. An allergic cause may manifest as eye itchiness, stuffy nose or frequent sneezing. Since medications seem to control your other conditions, i suggest you ask your physician regarding allergies as a possible cause of your headaches.

Best,

hello Vanessa
in regards of the infection i have lived with flu like symtomes for over 6 month which includes slight fever at times, sore body all over but respond well to normal panadol though the headache respond better with nurofen.
the thyroid test comes back "normal" meaning that the medication is right though i have had unexplaind weight gain.
i have many people to talk to yet no one who can find out whats wrong with me.
i am good at relaxing with different methords such as meditation and good breathing.
i thank you for your respond

Hi,

Is everything better today?

Headaches are cranial pains. However, structures like facial muscles and soft tissues of the eyes and ears may also cause headaches.Your previous surgery may partly explain the headaches however, your follow up scans appeared clear and normal.

You have mentioned of an infection.I suggest you seek consult with your dentist so that an oral and dental examination may shed some light on the source of this infection.

Had you any fever, ear or gum discharge? flu like symptoms, joint pains, pain in urination or abdominal pains  in the past 6 months? having any of these may give us an idea regarding the  infectious focus which may contribute to your easy fatigability and headaches.Your thyroid problem may also contribute to the extreme fatigue you are experiencing.

Try to relax and find someone you can talk to about things that might bother you.Headaches may be stress related.

Keep me posted. I hope I am able to help.
