Hi,
How are you? Cervical bone spurs can  lead to difficulty in swallowing or breathing because they can push against the structures in the neck. The spurs can occur as a result of a diseases such as osteoarthritis. In osteoarthritis, the cartilage in the joints are usually broken down and the body attempts to repair the loss. The body may create new areas of bone along the edges of  the existing bones or the spurs. In this case, if the osteoarthritis is not controlled, there is a chance of recurrence. Discuss this with your doctor for proper evaluation. Take care and regards.
