children with migraines

my daughter  is eleven and was diagnosed as having silent seizures. she also suffers with migraine's. she had an abnormal eeg but has never shown any signs of silent seizures. could the headaches be related to the abnormal eeg?
also she is topamax and elevil are there any better treatmen options?

How is your daughter? Headaches can be a result of seizures.   A seizure happens when there is an excessive electrical activity in the brain. It can be localized or distributed/ generalized. The diagnosis of epilepsy or seizure is made based on the medical history, EEG or even MRI to discover the cause or what kind of seizure. It is very important also that your daughter take her medications regularly to prevent seizure from happening Avoid seizure triggers like lack of sleep, alcohol or infections. The side effects of topamax include : ataxia, impaired concentration, dizziness, mood problems, diplopia, increased salivary flow.
