Hi,

How are you?
Migraine that lasts for more than 72 hrs is known as status migrainosus. In your case it seems you have a dull ache after the migraine attack is over.
Are you taking any medications for migraine?
Medications like NSAIDS, Imitrex are very helpful during a migraine attack while Topamax, betablockers and calcium channel blockers are helpful as preventive medications.
I would suggest you to maintain a headache diary. This will help you in identifying the trigger. Meanwhile avoid caffeine and alcohol if applicable. Lie in a quiet dark room when you are having the attack and apply cold compresses on the head and neck and do some breathing exercises.
