How are you?  What were the indications for magnesium? Magnesium is used in treating low magnesium levels or maintaining the proper amount of magnesium in the body. Laboratory tests, including magnesium levels, may be performed periodically while you use magnesium to monitor your condition or check for side effects.

Magnesium toxicity is very rare except in certain instances where renal failure prevents urinary excretion. Symptoms include central nervous system depression, skeletal muscle paralysis, and in extreme cases, coma and death. Calcium infusion tends to counteract magnesium. Healthy kidney function excretes magnesium rapidly and efficiently, with little possibility for toxic buildup. Levels up to 1600 mg daily have proven to be no problem as long as there as a balance of at least 50% calcium intake at the same time.

I hope this helps. Take care and keep us posted.
