I went years with headaches and neck pain. going to the chiropractor, and seeing a neurologist. Giving me meds for years with nothing helping!! Then also telling me I must be depressed. NO!! I only thing that was depressing me was not knowing what was wrong!! Finally I got a MRI and found that I have a Chiari Malformation which going to the chiropractor is a no no! I just don't want any one to have to go years like I did! I hope in your case you can get some relief!! Take care!

hi, i have had a ct scan, my doc thinks that thats all i need. she is convinced that its only tension headaches. she doesnt want to expose me to unwanted radiation...
not feeling to bad today.. i am ringing to make an appointment at a chiropratctor as she also thinks it could be underlying neck problems... thanks

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,
How are you? It is good that blood tests and scan were normal. This means that we are dealing with primary headaches and this is not caused by underlying medical conditions. Dull type of headaches may indeed be caused by tension headaches, compared to migraine which present with throbbing pain. However, there are some cases that combination of primary headaches are present. If medications do not help, inform your doctor about this for proper management.Take care and do keep us posted.
