Marileew,
I have read your reply to tschlecht about her migraine headaches and ear bleeding. I'm not exactly sure who you are and you clearly do not know tschlect or their medical history, physical, mental or emotional condition. Nor do you seem to know if this person is allergic to anything. You write like a drug rep trying to push pharmaceuticals, without a care in the world to fully educate on the side effects or black box warnings of the medications you practically begged tschlecht to ask their Dr. for.
Health is serious business. Unless you can see someone in a medical environment, and be completely licensed and competent to diagnose and suggest or prescribe a patient, knowing all about them and their medical history: it is illegal for you to write inform others the way you have in your response to tschlecht.
tschlecht, I would highly recommend that you do your own homework on any and all medications, which you may be prescribed or that which is suggested to you for any reason; before you decide to take it. Specially look at the side effects and warnings that are published about the medications.
It saddens me to see that Big Pharma is so heavily relied upon and thrown around in suggestions, as if people are suggesting which toilet paper to use. Big Pharma is the leading cause of deaths in the United States of America. Big Pharma causes more illnesses than any other thing in this country.
tschlecht, I will, however share with you what I have discovered will help my migraine headaches. I drink down 2 table spoons of Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, mixed in a little warm water. Within 15-20 minutes my pain has eased off.
Organic Apple Cider Vinegar has Anti-Fungal, Anti-Viral, Anti-Inflammatory and Anti-Bacterial properties.
Adding 2 table spoons of organic honey to your mixture is an added benefit for you, as Honey is a powerful immune system booster; Has antioxidant and anti-bacterial properties; Is a natural antibiotic; Fights cancer; Helps improve digestive system.
I wish you well and that your headaches go away. I hope that your ear bleeding is nothing serious and you will be in total health soon.
Bright Blessings,
Priestess Kandi Ranson
Hi tschlecht,
I'm glad that you went to the ER for this. And I am also glad that the ER doctor said that nothing was seriously wrong, that is very good news. Bleeding from the ear can indicate something very serious, but you did the right thing by going to the ER and the ER doctor checked it out and all seems to be fine.
It is important not to use Q-Tips in your ears. Q-Tips can damage your ears and cause bleeding. Never put anything in your ears that is bigger than your fingers inside a wash cloth when you wipe your ears out in the shower/bath or while washing your face. And never press too hard as the skin in our ears is delicate and can easily break if we press too hard, especially with Q-Tips.
Also, ear wax can be all sorts of colours and textures. It can get very brown, almost to the point of being black. And it can be wet or it can be very dry. Sometimes when we have lots of ear wax that gets stuck to our skin in our ears, and then it gets lose in the shower due to water or steam, it can actually cause bleeding because our skin is so delicate and it has attached itself to the skin, so when it pulls away from the skin it will pull some skin away with it. This could have been what happened. I am just guessing. The ER doctor should have given you more information... but, at least you know that it isn't serious.
If your ear starts bleeding again then go back to your doctor. If you see blood dripping out of your ear or on your pillow when you wake up in the morning, then go back to the ER. Or, if you see any other liquid flowing out of your ear, even if the liquid is clear, then go back to the ER.
Now... about these migraines... have you see your family doctor about your migraines? Do you have migraine medication? Do you have a prescription for triptans? It sounds like whatever your current acute treatment plan is... well, it sounds like it isn't working. An 8 hour migraine is too long! You need to sort out a better acute treatment plan with your doctor. Please go to your family doctor to get a prescription for a triptan if you do not already have one (as long as it is appropriate for you to take this type of medication, your doctor will know this), or switch triptans if you are already taking one. If you cannot take triptans for some reason, then Naproxen is a useful NSAID and Metoclopramide is a useful antiemetic for the acute treatment of migraine headaches. If neither of these medications are appropriate for you to take, then your doctor will be able to suggest an appropriate migraine treatment for you.
I hope you feel better soon. Keep an eye out for more bleeding over the next couple days and make sure not to stick anything in your ear at all. But, I don't think there is any cause for immediate concern since the ER doctor examined your ear and told you that things were fine, unless your symptoms persist or return. Follow up with your family doctor if you are at all concerned though.
