elavil

Does anyone take Elavil for preventing migraines and if so how do you get off of it without getting really sick?

What is the dosage that you were on?  I took 10 mg for about 4/5 years.  My doctor said I did not have to wean myself from Elavil because I was on such a low dose.   I did not get sick.

I'm currently taking Elavil, I take 25mg a day. I too was concerned with the side effects of getting of the medicine. I sat down and talked to my doctor about it and she told me not to be concerned because the dosage wasn't very high. The higher the dosage the better the chance of side effects. Hope that helped!!
