everyday headaches ... why?

everyday headaches ... why?

Hi. So lately Ive been getting headaches everyday.. sometimes all day.. I havent been eating much lately so that could be the cause of it.. every time i tell my mom about my headache she says that its sinus.. but she always says that.. the pain right now is inthe front part of my head.. but sometimes its the top.. i take tylenol or advil but im just so sick of taking medicine for it because sometimes it doesnt work.. Twice, I was laying in my room watching tv and I had a sharp shooting pain in the top of my head for about a minute. it was extremely painful, but went away in a minute.. ive never had that pain before. could it be something serious? or is that normal? I have random spans of time when I have headaches more than usual.. and this time is one of the times where I'm getting them alot. I cant stand the headaches anymore. what should i do?

Hi,
How are you? Are there other symptoms present? Headaches may indeed be caused by skipping of meals or not eating properly and can be caused by muscle tension, low blood sugar, and rebound dilation of the blood vessels. Also ,taking too much pain medications may lead to headaches also. If it persists, you may need to have this checked by your doctor for proper evaluation. Direct clinical examiantion including a complete neurological examiantion is important. Take care and do keep us posted.
