facial pain

by insearchofhelp111, Jun 15, 2009 10:28AM
I have been suffering from sinus infections and intense facial pain on the left side (cheek bone, upper jaw, left ear) for almost 2 years now.  I also suffer from neck and shoulder pain on the left side. I have gone through a series of antibiotics during this time and was seen by an ENT and evaluated for allergies. When that did not work I turned to alternative healing and medicine, but still did not find relief. I recently was seen by another ENT who had a CAT scan done and informed me that it was not my sinuses that were the problem, he referred me a a neurologist who is also a headache specialist. I have done some research on the internet regarding my symptoms but I am still unclear about what could be causing this daily pain. Any ideas?
