You are not breathing equal volume of air(oxygen) from both nostrils. Not enough air goes through one nostril. Do these two exercises, at home or while working and you will start to feel better.Drink plenty of water.
Anulom Vilom - Deep Breath-in through left nostril keeping right nostril closed
then - Breath-out through right nostril keeping left nostril closed
then -Deep Breath-in through right nostril keeping left nostril closed
then - Breath-out through left nostril keeping right nostril closed
and repeat this cycle for upto 30 minutes twice a day(maximum 60 min/day).
Bhramri Pranayam -Close eyes. Close ears with thumb, index finger on forehead, and rest three fingers on base of nose touching eyes. Breathe in through nose. And now breathe out through nose while humming like a bee.

hi !
Y'day I had apointment with ENT surgeon...
He checked me for acute sinusitis.. but he said ,there is no possibilities with me for sinusitis..but he observed that my diaphragm between two nasal entry is not straight...
its quit much tilted... coz of that ventilation is not so good and also he said that there are two balloon like structures which maintains the temperature of inhaled air...these two balloon like structures on mine are swallowed all the time.. coz of that may be i'm getting headache.
Also ! forgot to mention 1 more important point....
When m having headache ... I feel pain also in root of hairs ...It irritates.....
While driving on bike when airs passes through hairs ... then also it pains in scalp ....at hair roots??
is it all related???
dont mean to hijack the thread... but i just came back from the dentist and he said i have a severe case of TMD... i got fitted for a splint and hopefully these headaches will go away

Nice to see a few IT professionals posting here. Iam a network administrator myself and Im in front of this darn computer for 10 hours a day.
My story is a little different then shekhars though
I am diagnosed with GAD and currently Im on celexa. The doctor also prescribed me ativan and to take as needed. Ive taken ativan 3 times since November 13th. I realize its a Benzo and its addictive, so Im trying not to take it at all.
Since last sunday, Ive been getting these dull achy headaches on my right side and a few days ago, I started to feel the whole top right of my teeth just ache. The left side is fine, by the right is painful. So after some reading, I thought I was grinding my teeth. So I went to the store and bought a mouthpiece... just a plain old mouthpiece that football players use. Well that was a bad idea and I shoulda known better because it just didnt fit my mouth right. It was rubbing up against my gums and making things worse. So I woke up this morning with terrible pain in my teeth.
Ive takin some ibuprofen and its a little better since then. Im gonna take your advice and check out that right guard from walgreens.
But Im just hoping that my headaches are tension related. My health insurance doesnt kick in till Jan 1st (just took a new job), so I cant get a MRI or CT Scan on my head just yet. PCP thinks its all anxiety/stress related. My old job was 100% stress and I hatted it with a passion - I was a field technician.
who knows
most likely it is temprory.
but i wud still like to know that my hairfall is temporary??
nobody is bald in my family
hey thanks a lot for your kind help....
m so glad that i got such good advice here...
now I'll discuss all these things with my family doctor and start the course accordingly....
Hi shekhar249,
I think it is pretty clear that you are most likely having tension headaches. As an IT project mgr, I have sat in front of the computer screen for up to like 15 -20 hours depending on the fire I was putting out at the time. So welcome to Ergonomics 101. It really will help. First, you are stressed out.
*Go to the doctor and take three bottles of vitamins with you - B-complex, Vitamin C, Vitamin E.
You definitely need more than one B-complex a day so ask the doc how much you can take.
*Check to see if your computer screen is flickering at all - do you get to use a laptop/docking station or a desktop?
*Limit the different colors on the screen, in fact the old black/green DOS prompt screens were considered best for your eyes. And no little guys running across the screen or email cards. You are trying to limit the number of times you have to refocus per day.
* Are you working off of written specifications - if so take a string/peice of office tape and make sure that your document is sitting at the same distance away from you as your computer screen. This will limit the amount of change in your eyes flicker fusion frequency. Big cause of temple headaches
* Buy a little desk lamp for individual task lighting.
* most desk chairs give the ability to adjust make sure you are comfortable in it. You may even need a neck support. Amazing how much it will help to take the pressure off your neck a few times a day. And as said before, walk around a little every hour to hour and a half.
The fact that your jaws/teeth hurt may be TMJ symptomes, if it gets bad you can go to Walgreens and get a bite guard called Right Guard. It may stop a lot of your headaches. Still works off stress.
Now the biggie, who is estimating your task completion/target dates? Make sure you are getting enough time. For any project you are heavily involved in, ask to see the project plan. Make sure you get a resonable amount of time for source mods, testing etc... Any concerns get sent back to the BA or PM in email. If you do it at the beginning of the project you will probably get more time.
Good Luck.
hi,
hairfall can occur due to nutritional deficiency and also due to stress. You can take a nutritional supplement and see if that works.
okay !!
but since when this headache has started....
I'm facing problem of hair fall..m very worried abt this..
is this temporary??
Hi,
Relax, it seems to be Tension headache al already said, check your Blood Pressure and go for morning/evening walk, jon yoga classes, listen to some soft music etc where you can relax bit. since main triggering factor is due to work related and computer/ TV , do take frequent breaks ,wash your face with cold water so you can have soothing effect. in severe cases take pain killers and consult both ENT surgeon and Ophtholmologist for their opinion.
thanks a lot for ur response !!
yeah...I never did check up for acute sinusitis...There are some symptom's in me match with this....
But I have 1 more query .. if this is tension headache ....but it gets triggered when I seat in front of comp or TV screen...
I'll appreciate your efforts if you could guide me with this..
h,
I think you should try and enjoy your work as much as you can or if you cannot enjoy work please find some activity that you enjoy doing as you are suffering from tension headaches.Meanwhile get your blood pressure checked and also ask your doctor to rule out acute sinusitis.
