headache

i am having a really bad throbbing pain on the left side of my head , from my forehead to my neck. it happens when my wife and i are having sex , just before i have an orgasism? why is this doing this ? this just started about two weeks ago. we have been married for five years and never happen before .

How are you? This could be due to exertional headaches which are associated with physical activity such as weight lifting or sexual intercourse. Most exertional headaches are benign and are most commonly associated with patients who have history of migraine.If it persists, you may need to have this checked by a neurologist to rule out organic causes. Imaging studies such as CT scan or MRI may be indicated.
