Hi,
Thanks for the update. It is good that the tests done were fine. Headache is a common result of head trauma and this may persist for months or years following even mild head trauma. This is often associated with muscle contraction, of the muscles of the neck and scalp or vascular changes compounded by emotional reactions producing further anxiety which can lead to a self-perpetuating cycle. A recent imaging study will help in ruling out any anatomical issues. Continue your medications as prescribed and if any additional symptom arise, inform your doctor. Take care always.
hi,
i get a shock like pain in differnt parts of my body at random times.i suffers a very very mild concussion 6 months ago. I have been keeping a journal it hasn't helped figure anything out. I suffer from Osgood Schlatters disease, but I don’t think that has anything to do with my headaches. My doctor has run blood tests and that showed nothing.
Hi,
How are you? Aside from the headache and numbness, are there other symptoms present? If there was no history of head trauma, this could be due to primary headaches such as migraine headache. Migraines usually present with one-sided throbbing headaches associated with nausea, vomiting, or sensitivity to light and sound. Rest, avoidance of triggers and pain medications prescribed by your doctor may help provide relief. A headache journal will help identify the triggers that you could avoid. You would benefit from a complete neurological examination by your doctor and imaging studies of your brain to rule out organic causes. Talk to your parents about this and see your doctor for proper evaluation. ke care and do keep us posted.
