headaches

In mid-march I used a netti pot.  A couple of days later I experienced a "clicking" sensation when I swallowed.  This was followed by sharp pain directly behind my right ear.  My ENT specialist put me on an antibiotic for 10 days.  The sharp pain went away.  Shortly thereafter, I developed a headache on the right side, from the base of my skull to above & behind my right eye.  I have been to a massage therapist & gone thru thereapy rehab to relax neck muscles, had an MRI of my skull (no issues), a CT scan of my neck and upper back (no contributing issues), CRP blood tests (all normal) and an occipital nerve block.  The 24/7 headache persists, with pain levels from 5-10 on a 1-10 scale.  My neurologist now wants to send me to a headache specialist.

If the possibilities like sinusitis, ear infections, TMJ have been ruled out, other possibilities like Migraine should be considered. Migraine can present in a variety of ways with or without the characteristic aura. Have been able to identify any triggers which worsen your headache? Also is the pain relieved by pain killers? Deficiencies like magnesium and B 12 also result in headaches. It will be good to consult a headache specialist to identify the underlying cause of these headaches.
