Basilar artery migraine is very rare and they are characterized by their unusual aura symptoms like vertigo, visual aura and temporary blindness.
The symptoms can often be confused with that of stroke so it is important to differentiate between the two. Some studies have also suggested that basilar artery migraine increases the chances of getting a stroke.
The duration of attack and frequency of attack like any other migraine variant varies from person to person and there is no fixed pattern as such.
