irregular bowel movements

I've been h aving irregular bowel movements. I want have one everyday, unless, I have been eating, Activa. today i went to the rest room and my poop had something white on it. It look like some kind of bacteria. Yesterday, I was having pains, in my left side. I always get headaches, I have been to Kaiser at least four times regarding them. Sometimes, there so bad i get sick to my stomach, then there are other times, they last for hours. Inside my nose there is swelling, but Kaiser says that they are not Pollups. I can see the swelling, in the mirror, when i look up my nose. It looks like to cherries are stuck up my nose. I don't know what to do, I am scared at this point. Especially, with the white stuff on my poop. Please help me?

Thank you,

Hi
Thanks for writing to the forum!
Constipation can result in headaches. So treating constipation can result in treatment of the headache. I would advise you not to go for a stool softener on a daily basis. The white material on the stool can be mucus, something you ate or some undigested stuff. You should worry only if this happens often. Pain in the abdomen is expected in constipation.
Eating the right amount of fiber and drinking six to eight glasses of fluid—(water, juices, lemonades etc and not alcohol)—result in softer, bulkier stools. A softer stool makes emptying the bowels easier and lessens the pressure caused by straining. Good sources of fiber are fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. Regular walks, deep breathing exercises and eating food at regular times helps.

Regarding the swelling in the nose: If we tilt our head up and look into the nose, we can see some swellings, appearing to protrude into the nasal cavity. These are normal swellings called nasal turbinates.

Hope this helps. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
