ischemic foci in brain

my mother (62yrs) was having headaches for quite a few months. recently she had mri and the report says that she had multiple scattered nodullar and tiny nodullar ischemic foci in billateral cereberal hemispheric white matter regions along with minimal ill defined chronic ischemic change in both peri ventricular white matter regions.
kindly describe the impression and what further complication she may get and how to prevent it?
