just a migraine?

Last Thursday was seen in the ER with the worst migraine/headache I have ever had. Had left sided weakness and of course light senstive, nausia, also trembling and motion problems.I couldn't stad with out falling over. Or almostfalling. I just left a follow up and the dr said its just a migraine, even with the new systoms of back pain and my eyes, eye lids twitch or spasm when i close them. A friend said it looked like I was dreaming but of course I am awake. CT was normal as was the MRI from last June. Should I be worried or will this just go away the the medicine he gave me, which was Treximet?

Hi,

Thanks for writing in.
At the moment it just seems to an attack of migraine that you had. I would suggest you to follow your doctor’s prescription. Also maintain a headache diary as it will help you in identifying the trigger for your headache.
Avoid caffeine, red wine, processed meats, MSG, artificial sweeteners and aged cheese as these food products are known migraine triggers.
Take care!

Have you looked up the symptoms of hemiplegic migraines?  This might help explain the symptoms of weakness to you, and how it can tie in to migraine disease.  A google search should lead you to plenty of information.  If you're still unsure, ask for a second opinion.
