migraine headaches

my wife has had migraines before and fairly regular, here lately she has had one almost every day for about 2 weeks. She was taking so much medicine that it made her dizzy on several occasions. Her neuro. said the medicine was causing this. I am concerned because of the headaches being more common, and we might be possibly looking for a new neuro doctor. The doctor she has now put her on a medicine to take every day. ( I dont know the names). We live in Alabama do you know any real good doctors in this area that we can contact or someone in your office that could be assisstance.
thank you cary

Hi,
What medications is she currently on? It is true that taking too many painkillers can lead to rebound headache. If possible try to identify a trigger for migraine, mostly it is a food product like MSG, sodium nitrate used to preserve hot dogs and bacon, chocolate, cheese. Avoid smoking and alcohol, loud noisy places, bright lights and do some breathing exercises if possible.
