slurring with migraines

if you were diagnosed with a migraine a week ago and are certain that it's not a stroke (many tests were done to confirm that), should you still have slurred speech? everything I read tells me it should dissappear with in 24hrs.

Hi,
How are you? Speech symptoms including dysarthria or slurred speech is often a characteristic aura symptoms of some migraine variants. Other possible cause to be ruled out include stroke  (which was ruled out), brain injury, brain tumor, conditions that cause facial paralysis or weakness, and degenerative disorders. This can also be caused by certain medications, such as sedatives or narcotics. If it persists, it is best that you have this checked by your doctor or be referred to a neurologist. Take care and do keep us posted.
