what could be causing the pain

i have been having headaches for the past couple of weeks. it is behind my eyes, my forehead, and the base of my head and neck. sometimes i even feel sick to my stomach with them.  i am not sure what is bring them on but they can last for hours and i have to go to sleep for them to go away. i am really thinking about going to the drs because of them. they seem to get worst at night. does anyone have any idea what it could be or what i could take?

In order to get alprazolam she's going to have to go to her physician.  An ENT probably won't give it out.

Hi,
You could be having migraine attacks or stress headaches. Start with some conventional OTC painkillers and see if they help the headache to go away. Drink planty of fluids and catch adequate sleep at night. Also try some antiianxiety medication like alprazolam for some time. It would be advisable to get an ENT and eye check up to rule out any vision or sinusitis related problems causing the headaches. Try some breathing exercises and yoga. Try to take anatcids to prevent any gastroesophageal refulx and domperidone for any nausea. This should help you. Avoid alcohol and smoking. But if the headaches still persist consult your physician/ neurologist to get a complete evaluation done.
