wondering if lp shunt is working

I recently had an lp shunt put in because of pseudotumor cerebri.  I woke up from the surgery with my head feeling the best it had in six years.  It has only been a few weeks since the shunt was placed but I am starting to feel a lot of tightness in my head.  Is this normal?  I also feel sometimes like my tail bone is bruised.  Weird I know, so I was wondering if anyone else feels this way.  This shunt is alot more uncomfortable then I thought it would be.  Does anyone else feel so uncomfortable with it in?  I have a hard time sleeping at night because of feeling like things are being pulled inside me if I move.

Sorry not sure why but this website whited out the name of the support group.  I'll try again - Daily Strenght. IF it doesnt' work maybe try googling psuedotumor cerebri support groups, thats how I found it.
Good luck

I too have pseudotumor cerebri (so my nuerolgoist says).  I don't have a shunt so can't help you there.  You may check out ************* - they have a great support group and a lot of the members had recent shunts placed. They may be able to help you with your questions.
Good luck. Angie
