Blood vessels in head?

For the past 8 months I have been living in an awful hell. I wake up with a headache and go to bed with one. It radiates from the sides of my head. Coffee, alcohol, sugar make it worse. I have been thinking that it was muscle related. So I have been seeing a oral surgeon who made me a splint. But it hasn't helped. Now I'm noticing when I push on the spots they really hurt... it isn't a muscle though! I can trace them and they feel like veins. I have gotten sed rate test done which was only at 1. I have been referred to  a neurologist who basically said there is a long list of medication we can try until one works. I want to know why I am in pain every day. I am trying gabapentin right now. This is day 4 and no improvement yet. Any thoughts?

Hi there. I am sorry to hear about your condition. I am suffering for two years from migraines which last for 3 days continuously. I needed some time to find out what it is. I had also other headaches many years before which were related to a dislocated rib however not visible on any scan and therefore not been found from any docter but after 4 years by a young physiotherapist who treated me and made me oainfree in a short time.
This is why I am writing to you to try to find out if it is migraines. If yes there are some medication like ergotamin or sumatriptant and more available however it should be only taken with a doctors examination because it has some cardiovascular risks but can help very well for migraines.
If your condition is not migraine then dont give up. If your MRI scans are normal the continue searching for other solutions. Try to feel where the pain is coming from. A physiotherapist, acupuncturist or osteopat could help.
Check also if you changed anything else in your life since you have this oain. Moving of apartement, water source, environmental impact, work related changes such as stress, new desk where your postures cause problems, new matrasse to skeep...etc. many things can affect a condition like that.
Try also how you react to warm or cooling pads on your gead but be gentle with it.
How is you physical condition and general nutrition? Are you eating a balanced diet with lot of fresh plant based foods, low oil and low salt? Are you drinking enough fresh quality water? 3 liters oer day?
I hope you will feel better soon.

Hello,  have you seen an acupuncturist?   Side of the  Head headaches can often be a "liver headache" have you tried detoxing your body with lemon juice & apple cider vinegar. I recommend juicing carrots,  lemon, and celery.  Carrot is good for the eyes, lemon detox is the liver, and celery helps with inflammation or you could use pineapple which helps with inflammation,  as well. I recommend finding a way to eliminate every day,  these things I'm suggesting might seem simple, but I don't think drugs are the way to go .  There is a book called: Eat Right for Your Blood Type,  if you don't know your blood type and you're old enough to do so, go donate a pint of blood and call the next day and ask them your blood type. They will not charge you for this service because you gave them a pint of blood; they have to know your type of blood,so they can give it  to someone else.

Start with simple solutions, then go for the pharmaceuticals if you need them.

Good Luck,
