Remedy for leg swelling and to control BP

Hi,

My father is suffering from blood pressure and he has a problem in his vertebral column disc due to which he often get a back pain.He used Atenlol and various other tablets suggested by ESI for blood pressure and NeurokindG (Gabapentin and Mecobalamin Tablets)  for his disc problem. Now his legs started swelling, he feels that because of those tablets which he took earlier his legs started swelling.The work which he does also is by standing and by bending.His weight also increased by 10kgs in a span of 1Year,now he is 90kgs and his age is 46.

Please sugest me to reduce leg swelling and his weight and  to control blood pressure.

Sir,
He doesn't have any difficulty in breathing, ankle swelling however he is being tested for electrocardiogram,echocardiogram,lipid profile, kidney function tests.He is adopting the lifestyle you proposed.

Please suggest me any remedy for his disc problem also

Neurokind is vitamin B complex, a dietary supplement used commonly in diabetic neuropathy or in some cardiovascular diseases. It doesn’t cause leg swelling.Atenolol can cause weight gain in very few cases. Leg swelling with weight gain can be due fluid accumulation over a time period. The causes could be related to heart like congestive heart failure,cardiovascluar disease,cardiomyopathy,chronic venous insufficiency, varicose veins,endocarditis,etcHyponatremia,hypothyroidism,kidney failure, liver failure are few other possibilities.
